Here's Who Democrats Think Best Reflects Their 'Core Values'

Ever since President Donald Trump took office, Democrats have completely lost it at Republicans on a number of occasions. Just this week, Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett said on the record that Republicans should be “punched.”

Democrats were asked in a recent poll who they think best represents their “core values.” Predictably, many respondents named a radical left-wing House member.

A new poll from CNN found that Democrat “squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), known as “AOC,” best represents the party’s “core values,” according to other members of the party.

The poll, conducted from March 6-9, asked respondents who they felt exemplified their values the best. AOC garnered the highest amount of support at 10 percent (via Fox Illinois):

The congresswoman beat out other major party leaders like Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and former President Barack Obama. Those closest to AOC were former Vice President Kamala Harris with 9% of responses and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., with 8%.

Among those receiving 2% or less of responses included former President Joe Biden, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa.

Reportedly, 26 percent of respondents said they had “no opinion” on the matter. The poll surveyed 1,206 people and had a margin of error of 3.3 percent.

Newsweek noted that many Democrats expressed their views of Gov. Gavin Newsom are unfavorable now that he has a podcast where he interviews conservatives like Steve Bannon and Charlie Kirk.
