This State Will Lease Land for Trump’s Deportation Plans

This week, Townhall covered how Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump’s border czar, said that Trump’s mass deportation plan will begin in Chicago.

“Chicago is in trouble because your mayor sucks and your governor sucks,” Homan said Monday, referring to Mayor Brandon Johnson and Gov. JB Pritzker.

Homan warned that Johnson, who promised to push back against the deportation plan, better not “impede” the Trump administration’s efforts.

“If he knowingly harbors or conceals an illegal alien—I will prosecute him,” Homan said.

This week, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham said that she has offered 1,400 acres near the Texas-Mexico border to utilize for mass deportations.

Buckingham made the remarks on NewsNation.

“What we’re anticipating is it will be a land lease. That’s how we raise money for the school children of Texas,” she said, later adding that she’s sure that the state of Texas and Trump “can come to a great agreement.”

“Once the Trump team figures out what it is they want to do and what their strategic plan is, we’re happy to partner with them…not only make our communities safer for our children, but fund their education as well,” she said.

Buckingham oversees 13 million acres of land in the state of Texas. She added that there’s currently a wall being built on the U.S.-Mexico border.

“It’s a mile and a half of wall. We’re building it right now. Actually, we’ll be done in about a week. So, if you want to get it done quickly, Texas knows the way,” she said.

“We have hundreds of thousands of these violent criminals who’ve been harming our sons and daughters. We all want them out of the country. We want our sons and daughters to be safe,” she said.

Buckingham added that they will offer the Trump administration more land if it’s needed.
