It's No Surprise What 'The View' Co-Host Did After Failing to Live Up to Her MAGA Hat Promise

President Trump’s peace deal in the Middle East was so monumental that his detractors (most of them, anyway), have praised him for it. As POLITICO noted, his skillset was perfectly aligned to bring about an end to the war, get the last remaining living hostages out, and set a foundation for peace. None of his predecessors would have been able to do what he did, and it’s been refreshing to see that point acknowledged across the board. Trump himself even commended the press for the fair coverage he's received (aside from TIME putting the worst photo of him ever on its cover story about the deal).

Now that Trump delivered, many are circling back to a promise “The View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin made last December that she would wear a MAGA hat for a day if he got the hostages out.

“If [Trump] does good, if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for one day on this show and say thank you for doing it,” she said at the time.

As Matt reported, she felt confident saying this because she never thought it would actually happen.

Now that she’s being called out for failing to follow through, it’s no surprise that she shut off her replies on X.

Trump, asked about the promise on Tuesday, began by noting she used to work for him and recalled how she once wrote him a beautiful letter about what a great job he did in his first term.

“And then she got hired by 'The View,' and they gave her a couple of bucks, and she changed her view very quickly," he said. "It just shows what a fraud ‘The View’ is."
