Was Kirk Right About Trump, Musk? What Happened Sunday Was a Good Sign.

Was Charlie Kirk right? Just months before he was assassinated on a college campus in Utah, Kirk predicted that after a very public and explosive feud, Donald Trump and Elon Musk would reconcile.

He expressed this belief during an interview with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham back in June and explained why: "deep down I would like to believe they both want the same thing." In an episode of “The Charlie Kirk Show” a few weeks later, the Turning Point USA founder detailed how the 47th president has a “dramatic and telling track record” of reconciling with confidantes he had falling outs with, using his relationship with Gov. Ron DeSantis as just one example.

Now, Kirk could not have predicted that it would be his memorial service that would bring the two together, but it's very fitting.

When asked if the two are "back together," Trump was measured in his response, simply noting that "it's nothing to do with that" but he said it was "nice that [Musk] came over," noting the two previously had a great relationship. While it will take time, many on the right are hopeful Sunday's memorial service was the first step towards what Kirk envisioned.

Since the memorial service, Musk has taken to X to share messages of forgiveness, which were on full display Sunday after Erika Kirk forgave her husband's assassin.
