Trump and Musk Are at It Again

After weeks of relative quiet between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump following their explosive and very public feud last month, triggered by the billionaire entrepreneur’s opposition to the One Big Beautiful Bill, the two are at it again.

On Monday, Musk floated creating a new political party, “America Party,” if the OBBB crosses the finish line.

“If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day,” he wrote on X. “Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.”

He also said he’d focus on making Republicans who campaigned on reduced government spending lose their primaries.

“Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame! And they will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth,” he wrote.

The president hit back, threatening to turn the Department of Government Efficiency against him.

"Elon Musk knew, long before he so strongly Endorsed me for President, that I was strongly against the EV Mandate," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "It is ridiculous, and was always a major part of my campaign. Electric cars are fine, but not everyone should be forced to own one. Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa. No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE. Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!"

On Tuesday, Musk retweeted a post highlighting that his companies are not among the top recipients of subsidies.
