Former President Joe Biden’s office announced on Sunday that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, which has already spread to the bones. According to the statement, the 82-year-old was diagnosed Friday after experiencing urinary symptoms.
“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” the statement added. “The president and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Megyn Kelly spoke with renowned urologist Dr. David Samadi about the former president’s diagnosis, and specifically asked about a comment from oncologist Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, who said during an appearance on “Morning Joe” that this type of cancer doesn’t “develop in the last 100, 200 days.”
Samadi agreed with that assessment and noted that another line stands out in the announcement from Biden’s office— "the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive"—suggesting that the diagnosis did not likely occur on Friday since they would not have been able to state that if it had.
“This story doesn’t make any sense,” he said. “This has been cooking for many years, and someone like him, he's had at least 30 to 40 years of PSA history.”
