Musk Warned Newsom This Would Happen if He Signed AB 1955, and Now He's Leading the Charge

Gov. Gavin Newsom is continuing to drag California further to the left with his signing of legislation Monday that keeps parents in the dark if their child changes their sexual or gender identity and doesn’t want to tell them. This move makes the Golden State the only one in the nation to adopt such a measure, though one can bet other Democrat-led states will follow suit. Entrepreneur Elon Musk warned him a year ago what enacting a law like assembly bill 1955 would do, but clearly Newsom was unfazed.

To Musk, however, Newsom’s signature on the legislation was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

On Tuesday, he announced that the headquarters for SpaceX, currently located in Hawthorne, would move to Starbase, Texas, while X’s San Francisco headquarters would jump to the tech hub of Austin.

"Have had enough of dodging gangs of violent drug addicts just to get in and out of the building," Musk noted in a follow-up post, referring to the area of X’s San Francisco location.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott welcomed the news, while Newsom tried to dunk on Musk...and ended up getting it right back.
