Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan hasn’t “closed the door” to running for president on a No Labels ticket, and his latest move is fueling even more speculation about his political plans.
In September, the former Republican governor told CBS’s “Face the Nation” that a ticket should only be put together “in the event that it’s Trump and Biden.”
While he said he’s hopeful a “good” GOP presidential nominee would be chosen so that a No Labels ticket wouldn’t be necessary, Trump is currently dominating the Republican field and Biden’s team is still insisting he’s in it to win it
Thus, Hogan, who is co-chair of No Labels, appears to be testing the waters with his new ad, which targets Democrats and Republicans alike.
“Our allies question whether they should still trust us, and our enemies question whether they should still fear us,” he says in one part of the ad posted by his PAC, An America United.
The spot criticizes Republicans who are changing their tune on funding Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia, and hits progressives over their opposition to the U.S. supporting Israel in the wake of Hamas’ brutal Oct. 7 attack.
In a statement, Hogan told Axios, "America is strongest when we stand united with our allies."
"At this dangerous moment, that's the leadership we need," he added. "Unfortunately, neither party is delivering it."

So far, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West have announced they're running as independents. Polling shows the former will likely hurt Trump more than Biden.
