Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has dropped out of the 2020 race for the White House and has endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden.
"Three months ago, I entered the race for President to defeat Donald Trump. Today, I am leaving the race for the same reason: to defeat Donald Trump – because it is clear to me that staying in would make achieving that goal more difficult," Bloomberg released in a statement Wednesday morning. "I've always believed that defeating Donald Trump starts with uniting behind the candidate with the best shot to do it. After yesterday's vote, it is clear that candidate is my friend and a great American, Joe Biden."
Yesterday and before Super Tuesday votes were counted, Bloomberg said the only way he could win the nomination was through the DNC convention in Milwaukee but said planned to stay in the race. That has obviously changed.
Bloomberg was asked what he would consider a win tonight and what states he expects to win. "I don't know whether you're gonna win any. You don't have to win states you have to win delegates." Said he expected nobody will get a majority and this will go to the convention

Bloomberg spent an astounding $560 million dollars on campaign ads and held thousands of events across the country. He only participated in one debate and came away with less than 30 delegates.
Meanwhile, former Vice President Joe Biden has enjoyed a slew of endorsements in recent days from Senator Amy Klobuchar, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and now Michael Bloomberg.
