AOC’s Senior Advisor: Democracy Should Mean Taking People’s Money and Power Away

Former senior campaign advisor to socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is redefining "democracy" as government officials stealing money from some and giving it to others.

In other words: justified government theft.

The statement came during a segment on MSNBC about the 2020 Democrat presidential field, which continues to grow.

Meanwhile, during an interview at the South by Southwest Conference in Austin, Texas last week, Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez declared America is "garbage" and said capitalism is irredeemable.

Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, whose sudden rise to prominence has made her a target of Republicans and a sometime irritant to her party’s leaders, called capitalism an “irredeemable” system that is to blame for income inequality.

She directed some of her sharpest comments at an economic system that she said values profit over people.

“Capitalism is an ideology of capital –- the most important thing is the concentration of capital and to seek and maximize profit,” Ocasio-Cortez said. And that comes at any cost to people and to the environment, she said, “so to me capitalism is irredeemable.”

Capitalism is the greatest force against poverty the world has ever seen. Not only do Ocasio-Cortez and her closest advisors believe the government should control means of production, but that they're entitled to the earnings and wealth belonging to someone else.
