Speaking from the South Lawn of the White House Friday morning, President Trump touted newly released data showing GDP has risen to 4.1 percent.

"We've accomplished an economic turnaround of historic proportions," Trump said. "America is being respected again and America is winning again because we are finally putting America first."

“By increasing growth to 3 percent over the next 10 years, that would mean 12 million new American jobs and $10 trillion of new American wealth at least,” he continued, adding that the numbers are sustainable. "We're on track to hit the highest annual average growth rate in over 13 years."

The President also pointed out a decrease in trade deficit with a number of countries and vowed economic growth for the U.S. will continue as a number of agreements are renegotiated.

“As the trade deals come in one by one, we’re going to go a lot higher than these numbers, and these are great numbers," he said. “We’re doing great. I’m so honored to see that 4.1 number.”

President Trump was joined by Vice President Mike Pence, in addition to a number of White House economic officials and Cabinet members during his remarks.

"Business investment is booming," White House Chief Economic Advisor Larry Kudlow said after thanking the President for his leadership. " I believe that is going to continue...is the key to growth."
