Townhall's Katie Pavlich to Speak at NeW Conference

Townhall’s own Katie Pavlich will be the distinguished keynote speaker at this year’s Network of Enlightened Women (NeW) conference in Washington, D.C.

Top young conservative women leaders from around the nation will gather from June 19-21 to hear from authors, professionals, and policy experts to learn how to effectively promote conservative principles within their own communities.

Founder Karin Agness describes NeW as the nation’s “premiere organization for conservative university women.” It originally began in 2004 as a book club and has since expanded to over 20 college campuses across America.

NeW is run by students, for students. It provides women a form to discuss conservative ideas and teaches them how to articulate these ideas in the public sphere.

Katie Pavlich, news editor at Townhall, New York Times bestselling author, and co-host of Outnumbered on Fox News, will be speaking on Friday, June 20, at 1:30pm. Pavlich says:

“I am so excited to join the network of enlightened women for their 2014 national conference in Washington, D.C. NeW plays an important role on college campuses around the country in giving women the tools and knowledge they need to stand up for what they believe in.”

Additional panelists include Penny Nance from Concerned Women for America, Diana Furchtgott-Roth of the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, and Heather Pfitzenmaier from the Heritage Foundation.

NeW enables young conservative women to develop each other professionally while addressing relevant topics such as the wage gap, feminism, and the war on women.

The conference will provide a venue for like-minded women to learn about the other side of the spectrum that they are not getting from their college professors or women’s centers on college campuses.

With liberal indoctrination corrupting our university system, it is more important to empower college students now than ever before.
