So Much Winning: China Now Willing to Help With North Korea

President Donald Trump has gained the commitment of the Chinese government to help denuclearize North Korea and bring peace to the peninsula.

Chinese President Xi Jinping told President Trump during a phone call Wednesday that Beijing is willing to work with the U.S. to end Kim Jong Un's nuclear missile program through peaceful measures, according to Fox News.

"China insists on realizing the denuclearization of the peninsula ... and is willing to maintain communication and coordination with the American side over the issue on the peninsula," Xi was quoted as saying by state media.

President Trump said on Twitter that he "had a very good call last night with the President of China concerning the menace of North Korea."

Last week, Jinping visited President Trump at his Florida resort where, by most accounts, the two had cordial talks.

On Monday however, President Trump reminded China that the U.S. was willing to go it alone in regards to North Korea.
