Russian Nuclear-Capable Bombers Spotted Off the Coast of Japan

Russia flew nuclear-capable Tu-95 “Bear” bombers off the coast of Japan on Wednesday, according to Fox News.

U.S. officials cited in the report say the flight was "meant to send a message.”

In February, the Russian spy ship Viktor Leonov came within 30 miles of a major U.S. nuclear submarine base in Groton, Connecticut.

And in March, the same spy ship emerged on the U.S. eastern seaboard, monitoring activity just 20 miles south of the nuclear submarine base at King’s Bay, Georgia.
