Tillerson's Ultimatum: Russia Must Pick Between US and Syria

The United States has issued an ultimatum to the Russian government:  Unite with the world's leading superpower and end the war in Syria, or continue their alliance with the Iranian and Syrian governments.

"We want to relieve the suffering of the Syrian people. Russia can be a part of that future and play an important role," Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told reporters in Italy at the G7 Summit. "Or Russia can maintain its alliance with this group, which we believe is not going to serve Russia's interests longer term."

Tillerson is set to travel to Russia on Tuesday, where he will meet with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
