"The View's" Joy Behar was elated on Wednesday after white supremacist Richard Spencer said he regretted voting for President Trump during the 2016 election.

Spencer was one of the people who helped organize and promote the 2017 "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The rally, attended by white supremacists, resulted in street brawls with Antifa. One rally attendee drove his car into a crowd of counter-protesters, killing Heather Heyer.

"There’s one small thing. He was saying some good news. This is a tiny thing that I noticed. Do you remember Richard Spencer? He’s basically the organizer of 'Unite the Right.' The white nationalist group that was marching in Charlottesville. He was all in for Trump. Not anymore. Here’s his quote. 'I deeply regret promoting and voting for Donald Trump in 2016.' Wow!" Behar said.

The attending audience cheered at Behar's report.

"It’s like I said yesterday, Trump ran on not invading and being a warmonger. These people, they’re the ones who are going to go," she added.

Spencer came out against Trump after he authorized the U.S. military to conduct an airstrike on General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of Iran's Quds Force, and Kataib Hezbollah leader Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes while they were in a car at the Baghdad International Airport.

The Pentagon said Soleimani was in the country to carry out more attacks against Americans and U.S. allies in the region. Soleimani helped plan the attack on the American Embassy in Baghdad on New Year's Eve, which was carried out by Iranian-backed militias.

The strike on Soleimani resulted in Iran firing ballistic missiles at bases in Iraq where American troops are stationed. No U.S. or Iraqi troops were killed in the attacks.
