All of the Worst People Are Coming Out to Support Thomas Massie

Rep. Thomas Massie’s race against Trump-endorsed Ed Gallrein has taken center-stage as we are just a couple of days removed from Election Night in the Kentucky primaries. If you haven’t noticed, all of the worst people from the Left and the “Never Trump” Right have taken to social media to beg that Kentuckians get out to keep Massie in office.

The reasoning for their panic is pretty obvious. Sen. Bill Cassidy, one of the last bastions of Republicans who have worked to stifle President Donald Trump and his administration, was just unceremoniously ousted from his seat in a historic primary loss, being the first incumbent senator since 2012 to lose a primary race.

The Left is desperate to keep Massie in office, and honestly, the Right is desperate to see him gone. This single seat is working its way to becoming one of the most expensive primaries of the cycle. $35 million has been dropped on the race in the primary alone.

It won’t be a sad night if Massie is seen out of Congress. The guy has constantly been a thorn in the side of promoting quality conservative policy because of “muh principles” (which amount to being a Beautiful Loser.) I can’t say that I’m confident that Tuesday night will be his exit.

Never forget that Sen. Lisa Murkowski lost her primary, but managed to retain her seat through a write-in campaign. These types typically weather storms fairly well.
