As AmericaFest 2025 comes to a close, Turning Point USA just released the results of their straw poll.

It has some eye-opening results.

When asked who they would like to see at the top of the Republican ticket in 2028, respondents answered overwhelmingly in favor of Vice President JD Vance, who surpassed President Trump’s 2024 total by 2 points. Vance received a whopping 84 percent of the vote, and in a not-so-close second was Sec. Marco Rubio at 4 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz and Gov. Glenn Youngkin didn’t surpass 1 percent combined.

President Trump's cabinet polled extraordinarily well, with half of cabinet members receiving a “strongly approve” share greater than 50 percent. Only Attorney General Pam Bondi received a disapproval rating in the double digits, and even that was just 29 percent. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth led the pack with a massive 83 percent “strongly approve” rating, and a total approval rating of nearly 95 percent.

The poll further showed that the Republican base is pushing for an even stronger stance on immigration. Nearly 90 percent of respondents indicated that they would support a total moratorium on new immigration.

One third of respondents believed that Israel is America’s “top ally,” and another 50 percent said that the nation was “one ally of many.” Just 13 percent said that Israel was “not an ally” to America.

Radical islam, socialism, mass migration, and the economy all ranked as the “biggest threats” facing the nation in the poll. AI, low fertility, lack of patriotism, and foreign influence operations all ranked at the bottom of the poll. When asked about their top concerns, respondents answered that winning the midterms and voter integrity were what they cared about most.
