POTUS: GOP Senators Look Like "Fools" After Skinny Repeal Failure

After the "skinny repeal" bill failed to pass the Senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell lamented that more couldn't be done to help Americans who are dealing with Obamacare's failures, but that it was "time to move forward.

"The American people are going to regret that we couldn't find a better way forward," McConnell said on the Senate floor. "And as I said, we look forward to our colleagues on the other side suggesting what they have in mind. It's time to move on."

President Trump is none too happy with this attitude, and told GOP senators they "look like fools" in this week's Saturday morning tweet storm.

Trump is exactly right about what the Dems would do. "Compromise" when they are in charge means coming around to their opinion and doesn't involve any concessions on their part. And, as he says, voters will stop bailing out members of Congress - who ran on a message of repeal and replace - very soon.
