"Tom brings enormous depth and breadth of knowledge and experience to protecting the homeland to our senior White House team," Trump stated. "He has a handle on the complexity of homeland security, counterterrorism, and cybersecurity challenges. He will be an invaluable asset to our Administration."

Bossert boasts an impressive resume. The incoming adviser has led his own successful homeland and national security consulting business. He has also held other various positions within the Office of the Independent Counsel, the House of Representatives, and has served as a senior cybersecurity fellow at the U.S. Atlantic Council.

While retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn will focus on international security, Bossert will be placing an emphasis on domestic and transnational security within Trump’s White House.
