Another Grisly Crime, Another 'Sanctuary' Jurisdiction

Stop me if this horrific story sounds familiar: A man is brutally murdered and left tied up in his basement.  The accused killer is an illegal immigrant who crossed the border unlawfully during the Biden administration, and was promptly released into the country.  The crime is committed in a "sanctuary" jurisdiction.  No, this isn't the gruesome slaying we recently and extensively covered out of Chicago.  It's a separate crime with a similar fact pattern, in some key respects, and it occurred in Massachusetts.

The man accused of murdering a small business owner had no right to be in this country in the first place, and now we have this:

Massachusetts is, effectively, a sanctuary state under standing law.  This man was allowed to enter the US in violation of our laws and sovereignty, then harbored in Massachusetts.  Now he's charged with homicide.  This is the victim, whose family, friends and loved ones will never be the same:

Ilias T. “Louie” Mavros, age 48, of Lynn was tragically taken from his family unexpectedly on Monday, February 3, 2025. He was born in Katerini, Greece, the son of the late Theodoros “Teddy” and Triantafyllia “Rose” (Kokkalis) Mavros. He had lived in Lynn, the community he loved, for his entire life, and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1994. Louie and his father were the previous owners of Christina’s pizza in Salem Ma, and Louie helped many other businesses flourish. Louie realized his dream of opening a successful business last September when he opened Crazy Buzzy’s Roast Beef and Seafood in Lynn. His restaurant became very successful in a short period of time and he was well respected in the local community. He was a hard worker who overcame many obstacles in his life. He had a heart of gold, caring for his sick mother for eight years until her death last March. He loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

The lawlessness of man who has been arrested in connection with this killing was coddled and indulged at every turn by the Biden administration and the politicians who run Massachusetts.  Despite the loud demonstrations of pro-illegal immigration activists (featuring heavy crossover with pro-Hamas dirtbags), most Americans are disgusted by this  It should be no mystery why Trump won in November, and why mass deportations are polling so well.  On that very subject, here's a welcome update from the White House:

Grenell has made some serious moves vis-a-vis the illegimate, election-stealing Communist regime in Caracas over these first few weeks of the new administration.  And now, per an announcement from the president last night, he also has another new job:

After four years of Biden and the policy consequences that ensued, on a subject we tackled yesterday, I'll leave you with this:
