'The Other Half of the Government Medicine Debate the Media Should Be Having' was hosted by Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), the Media Research Center (MRC) and the Health Care Freedom Coalition. Moderated by ATR president Grover Norquist, the panel featured Sen. Jim DeMint, Republican Study Committee Chairman Rep. Tom Price, as well as numerous health care policy experts not so enamored of the government medicine proposals put forth by the Administration and Congressional Democrats.
What are you not hearing from the media about these proposals? Will these proposals really not lead to rationing of health care services? How has the Canadian system really fared? MRC and ATR deserve a lot of credit for this attempt to revive public discourse over something so consequential as comprehensive health care reform. The impacts of Democratic health care legislation moving through Congress are massive and life-changing. Americans deserve to know about them.
