Mr. President, Will You Apologize?

Mr. President, Will You Apologize?

Perhaps Wanda Sykes MOUTH will Fail!

There is simply no excuse for the President of the United States laughing at a comedian who uttered the words:
"Maybe Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight."

Yes, those are the words uttered by Wanda Sykes. I know that it's been talked about here on the blogs at Townhall.com...I just had to be on record as calling this comment deplorable. Of course, Ms. Sykes also said she hoped Rush Limbaugh would have "kidney failure" as well.

Even David Frum, a so-called conservative who has made himself known he is no fan of Limabaugh, called out Sykes:

"The central part of the story is not the comedian but the president," Frum said Monday.

"One of the things I would have imagined, as an experienced TV performer like Barack Obama would know, is that you don't have to laugh at every joke. You know there's going to be a reaction shot ... if he had sat there and not laughed, not smiled at that, the story would be about her, not him."

Members of the media in attendance pointed out the ridiculous comments:

"That's way, way beyond reasoned debate or comedy and Obama's reaction to it was astonishing," wrote the London Daily Telegraph's Toby Harnden, who attended the dinner.

"Obama laughing when someone wishes Limbaugh dead? Hard to take from the man who promised a new era of civility and elevated debate in Washington."

We know the media will not ask the President for a comment at one of his ObamaPalooza Press Conferences, so I hope he will step up and demonstrate he truly wants a "new tone" in Washington.
