Billionaire Miriam Adelson has offered President Trump $250 million towards his candidacy if he attempts to run for a third term, while at the White House Hanukkah celebration.
“I met [former Harvard Law School professor] Alan Dershowitz. And he said the legal thing about four more years. And I say, ‘Alan, I agree with you.’ So we can do it. Think about it,” Adelson told Trump. As guests began to chant “Four more years!” Adelson made an additional inaudible comment to President Trump.
“She said, ‘Think about it, I’ll give you another $250 million,'” the president told his guests. “I will give,” she confirmed into the microphone.

According to Forbes, Adelson, who was born in Israel, and her family are worth nearly $42 billion. They have been major supporters of politicians who have sought to defend Israel, including Trump.
President Trump, along with many of his supporters, has expressed support for a potential third term, despite it being prohibited by the 22nd Amendment. Some of his allies have suggested legal workarounds to bypass this restriction, though these ideas remain highly speculative. One proposal floated was for Trump to run as a vice-presidential candidate and, if elected, have the president step down, allowing Trump to assume the presidency again.

The president even created "Trump 2028" merchandise and acted as though he was seriously considering the attempt. However, while he has long enjoyed provoking Democrats, Trump confirmed several months ago that he does not intend to pursue a third term.
