A magnitude 7.0 earthquake was detected in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Alaskans are sharing images online of damaged buildings, cracked roads, etc.

A tsunami warning is now in effect.

On Fox News, USGS Geophysicist John Bellini said Alaskans should prepare for "numerous aftershocks."

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin revealed that her family's home, like many others, did not completely survive the earthquake.
