Watch: Dem Candidate Removes Republican Opponent's Flyers from House to Place Her Own

The 9th District Republican Representative for Delaware Kevin Hensley stopped by a home in Middletown over the weekend to drop off a flyer for his campaign. Video surveillance captured it. Moments later, it caught Democratic candidate Monique Johns arriving at the same house, taking one look at Hensley's flyer, removing it and replacing it with her own flyer.

"It's discouraging," Hensley said of his opponent's action. "I pride myself on running positive campaigns, have ever since I've been elected to serve the people of the 9th district. It was just disappointing to see."

Johns, to her credit, did acknowledge and apologize for her mistake.

When the original video was posted, social media users were peeved, calling her a "scumbag" and worse.

But, once she shared her apology, most of the commenters on her Facebook page applauded her for her accountability.

"It's refreshing to see a candidate apologize for wrongdoing," one person wrote. "Thank you for taking responsibility."

"I can always have respect for those who hold themselves accountable to higher standards," another commenter shared.
