Great: A Dozen More Released Gitmo Detainees Have Gone 'Back to Battle'

While President Obama seems convinced that former prisoners at Guantanamo Bay will enter peacefully into society following their imprisonment, a dozen more released detainees have reportedly returned to their terror ways.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) said that seven of the 144 detainees who have been freed since President Barack Obama took office in 2009 have been confirmed to have returned to fighting as of Jan. 15. The ODNI's previous report, from this past July, said six detainees had gone back to battle.

Prior to this alarming news, Obama freed a Gitmo detainee who vowed to “kill as many Americans as he could.” Another released inmate is now an Al Qaeda leader in Yemen.

Obama’s current Gitmo policy requires 60 Gitmo prisoners to be relocated to the United States following the closing of the facility. Americans have the right to be concerned after reading the above reports.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), an ardent opponent of the president’s plan to close Gitmo, warns that in his state, the Gitmo detainees may be placed in prisons just a few minutes away from local elementary schools.

Closing Guantanamo Bay is, as you can see, a direct threat to our national security. Just another reason why voters should choose wisely in November. Will their candidate further Obama’s dangerous policy?
