Dem Sen. Bullock: 'I Don't Know' If Pence Is A 'Decent Guy'

Presidential hopeful Steve Bullock struggled to give a straight answer about Vice President Mike Pence on Tuesday.

Bullock, on a campaign trial in Iowa, was asked whether or not he believes that Pence is a "decent guy."

Despite the governor's indecision about the vice president's moral character, Bullock touted his work with Pence just last week.

"We're encouraged, knowing that someone who sat in the governor's seat continues to reach out to us, both when we agree and when we disagree," Bullock said of Pence. "Together, we can certainly jump-start the wheels of cooperative governing again."

This question appears to be a follow-up to a controversy involving former vice president Joe Biden. Last week, Biden was complimentary toward Pence, saying that he was a "decent guy." This was met with criticism and blowback from other Democratic politicians.
