H.W. Crocker III is a former speechwriter for then-Governor of California Pete Wilson, the author of Don’t Tread on Me: A 400-Year History of America at War, from Indian Fighting to Terrorist Hunting, and Vice President & Executive Editor of Regnery Publishing.
Harry helped re-found Regnery Publishing in Washington, D.C. as its editor in chief in 1986, a position he held for five years before becoming a speechwriter to Governor Pete Wilson of California. He rejoined Regnery in 1995, and has led the editorial team through a succession of bestselling seasons.
Educated in England and California, his journalism has been widely published in many outlets, including National Review, The American Spectator, The Washington Times, and The National Catholic Register. He has also written a history of the Catholic Church, Triumph, and the prize-winning comic novel The Old Limey.
He lives on the site of a former Confederate encampment near the battlefields of Northern Virginia.
