Gallup: Democratic Lead Vanished

At least, in the latest poll -- down to a two point lead. And while Gallup explains why they believe the changes “are not statistically significant” they also note “Republicans are likely to perform better at the polls in November than would be indicated by pre-election surveys based on registered voters.”

The GOP closed a 16 point gap and, as of early this morning, the story is virtually non-existent in the mainstream press. This morning, I typed in “Democrats two-point (and 2-point, just to be safe) lead” into Google and the story didn’t come up. Not once.

Democratic leaders must be in a panic this morning as they digest the numbers.

Look for the press to revive their bad-news-in-Iraq stories to begin chipping away once again.
