Charleston Church Shooting: 9 Fatalities in South Carolina

What is being defined as an act out of pure hate, 9 people were killed on Wednesday night at an Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in South Carolina.

The man who committed the crime is said to be in his early 20's and stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall, attending a church meeting for nearly an hour before shooting fire.

When in a holy environment, what could possibly drive someone to act in this manner? South Caroline Gov. Nikki Haley states, "We'll never understand what motivates anyone to enter one of our places of worship and take the life of another.," as she empathizes with the Charleston community.

Presidential candidates have reached out as well offering their condolences.
