Newsom Orders Vote-By-Mail for 2020 Presidential Election

California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order on Friday mandating every registered voter in California be sent a mail-in ballot, postage paid, for the upcoming election. Democrats across the country are currently pushing vote-by-mail for November's presidential election, despite the potential for voter fraud.

"[T]here is a lot of concern and anxiety around this November's election in terms of making sure that you can conduct yourself in a safe way," Newsom asserted.

In California, a state of nearly 40 million people, around 2500 have died from COVID-19.

"I signed an executive order about an hour ago that will allow every registered voter in the state of California to receive a mail-in ballot," Newsom continued.

The governor also said an "appropriate number of physical sites" will remain open for people to physically vote who may be "unfamiliar with mail-in ballots, who are uncomfortable with them, may have disabilities, may have other issues ..." Mail-in voting used to be the exception. The governor's order makes it the rule.

As noted by Breitbart, recent data does not support Newsom's health justification for adopting vote-by-mail. After the coronavirus lockdown began, Wisconsin held its primary election and a very small number of the 413,000 participants contracted the virus. There were no deaths. South Korea held their national elections, and not a single coronavirus case could be linked to in-person voting.

But nevermind the data. Anyone with eyes can see the left is using the current pandemic to push reforms they've wanted for years.

The left has been pushing for mail-in voting ever since they discovered the riches of ballot harvesting and voter fraud. As the popular saying goes, "As California goes, so goes the nation," and that was certainly true when it came to closing down the states.
