Maryland Police Warn Residents to Wear Pants When Checking the Mail

People in Taneytown, Maryland, are apparently getting a little too comfortable during the stay-at-home order that went into effect last month. Taneytown Police had to issue a "final warning" to residents to wear pants when checking their mail. The warning was made by the Taneytown Police Department in a Facebook post on Tuesday.  The Baltimore Sun reports that over 400 people in the state have died from the Wuhan coronavirus, after "probable deaths" are added to the tally. A probable death occurs when a person's death certificate lists the coronavirus as the cause of death but the cause has yet to be confirmed by a laboratory, according to Gov. Larry Hogan's deputy communications director, Kata D. Hall.

On Wednesday, Gov. Hogan said Marylanders' efforts to stop the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus were beginning to pay off, adding the state is now in a position to begin the rollout of the state's recovery phase.
