Democrats sure have a long list of things they would like to ban. At a town hall in Marshalltown, Iowa on Sunday, Andrew Yang, the technology entrepreneur seeking the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, said he would also ban TV advertisements for pharmaceutical drugs.

"You know what else I would do away with," Yang told the crowd. "Some of you may not like this. I would do away with those TV advertisements for drugs."

"There are only two countries that allow those advertisements, us and New Zealand. You know the other countries are like, 'Hey, you know what, you need a drug? Your doctor will tell you about the drug. Then you'll get a prescription.' That's what happens in every developed country in the world except for here and New Zealand. Why? Because here the drug companies just have figured out, it's like, 'you know how we are going to make some more money? We're going to like put TV ads.' Anyway, don’t get me started...

Considering how many commercials are ads for pharmaceutical drugs, it's hard to imagine the impact Yang's ban would have on TV networks.

Yang has also called for banning certain guns and said he would ban robocalls as president after receiving a robocall that really seemed to annoy him.

Yang previously stated that Facebook should be held liable for false political advertisements, and, as president, he would create a Department of Technology to be headed by someone in Silicon Valley.
