Katie Hill Threw a Tantrum Because Republican Mike Garcia Won Her Vacant Seat

Former Rep. Katie Hill (D-CA) was forced to resign after the House Ethics Committee launched an investigation into her private life. She was allegedly having an extra-marital affair with her Legislative Director, Graham Kelly, and a throuple relationship with a female campaign staffer.

Hill repeatedly said she was going through a divorce from her abusive husband but text messages show Hill, her husband, Kenny Heslep, and the female staffer had an ongoing relationship. The husband admitted in text messages to the campaign staffer that he and Hill abused her.

The former representative had a meltdown after learning that the Republican Party was successful in flipping her seat red with congressman-elect Mike Garcia.

So yeah it really hurt to have my old seat flip back to Republican-for a ton of people & also for me. In fact, it was pretty fucking devastating. I went offline & cried for a few days but, as always, getting ready to stand back up & keep fighting. Hope you are too.

According to Hill, the only reason the seat was flipped was because her husband released what she called "revenge porn."

Let’s be clear. My ex gave nonconsenual nude pics of me to the ppl who wanted this seat- people who were backing Garcia when he was my opponent. They gave those pics to the press. I resigned.

I take full responsibility for my mistakes, but this Republican win is no coincidence.

Katie Hill needs to give it a rest. She was elected to serve the people of California's 25th Congressional District. She broke House rules by engaging in a relationship with one of her staffers. She broke the rules. No one else did. She did. She's mad that she was held accountable for her actions.

The fact of the matter is this: if a man did what Hill did, Democrats would be up in arms. They would say the man is a sexist who is taking advantage of women. Because Hill is a woman, the Democratic Party continually gives her a pass and makes her out to be a victim.

Get. Real. She brought this on herself.
