WATCH: Brad Pitt Just Made Dr. Fauci's Dream Come True

The media loves to play the "what if game." A few weeks ago, Dr. Anthony Fauci was asked what actor he would want to portray him in some kind of TV show or movie. Fauci laughed and said Brad Pitt.

Saturday Night Live made that vision a reality this weekend when Brad Pitt did a skit of a White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing.

"Good evening. I'm Dr. Anthony Fauci," the actor said in a raspy voice. "First, I'd like to thank all the older women in America who has sent me supportive, inspiring and sometimes graphic emails."

"Now, there's been a lot of misinformation out there about the virus and yes, the president has taken some liberties with our guidelines. So, tonight I would like to explain what the president was trying to say. And remember, let's all keep an open mind," Pitt said.

SNL played various clips of President Trump. In one clip, the president called the Wuhan coronavirus tests "beautiful."

"Okay, a couple of things," Pitt's character said. "I don't know that I would describe the test as 'beautiful,' unless your idea of beauty is having a cotton swab tickle your brain."

At the end of the segment, Pitt pulls off the wig and glasses and addresses the doctor directly.

"And to the real Dr. Fauci: thank you for your clam and your clarity in this unnerving time," the actor said. "And thank you to the medical workers, the first responders, and their families, for being on the front lines."
