When it comes to elections, candidates are expected to pull out all of the stops, including endorsements. And college student government elections are no exception. Former UN Ambassador and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Hayley's daughter, Rena Haley, is running for vice president at Clemson University. She's on a ticket with Collin Huskey, who is running for president.

The two received a rather exciting endorsement though. On Friday, President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, endorsed the Huskey-Hayley team. The video was posted on social media.

“Hi Clemson fans, it’s Ivanka Trump. I’m so proud of what each and everyone of you are doing. Don’t forget to reach for new heights by voting for Huskey-Haley.”

In addition to the high profile Trump endorsement, the duo has also secured the endorsement of Jessie McCartney, Clemson's popular football player, Hunter Renfrow, and the school's baseball team.

Of course, Nikki Haley herself had to endorse the ticket as well.

Clemson's primary election is on Wednesday, with the general election taking place on Mar. 6th.

The Haleys are prominent Clemson fans and alumni. Nikki Hayley met her husband when they were both students there. She also delivered Clemson’s Commencement Address during spring 2018 and was presented with an honorary Doctorate degree in Humanities at the ceremony, The Post and Courier reported.
