It seems the Left, unsatisfied with the roughly 65 million babies they've aborted since 1973, wants to add more numbers to that horrific body count. This time, however, the victims are not unborn children, but rather the pregnant women the Left continues to lie to about pro-life laws in places like Texas and Georgia.
It has long been obvious to me that the Left does not care who gets hurt in the pursuit of their political agendas. It's why, after all, they can let guys like Decarlos Brown Jr. out of prison without losing a wink of sleep, even though Iryna Zartuska, an innocent 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, bled out on a Charlotte train after Brown stabbed her in the neck. In the Left's mind, letting Brown out of prison more than a dozen times prior to his fatal encounter with Iryna was 'equity' and 'justice' in action. Bethany MaGee, 26, was also a victim of this 'equity justice' when Lawrence Reed, a 50-year-old career criminal with dozens of prior arrests, set her on fire on Chicago's Blue Line last fall. MaGee survived her injuries. She'll just spend the rest of her life dealing with the pain, disfigurement, emotional trauma, and financial costs of being set on fire by a guy who should have been behind bars. There are hundreds of Angel Families who have lost loved ones to illegal alien criminals, too. They'll spend the rest of their lives missing their loved one, but the Left doesn't care. Their daughter, son, husband, wife, or mother was a small price to pay to import millions of Democrat voters who will help the Left destroy America.
In the same way, the Left loves to lie about anti-abortion laws, in the hopes that their lies will scare women and dissuade them from seeking medical care for non-abortion-related pregnancy conditions, like ectopic pregnancies or miscarriages. Ectopic pregnancies, if left untreated, are life-threatening and often fatal. Miscarriages, especially those where the unborn child isn't expelled from the womb, can lead to infections, complications and deaths.
That's why the Left conflates the treatment for ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages — both forms of non-viable pregnancies — with abortion. It's not an accident. It's designed to sew doubt into the minds of women and healthcare providers so care will be delayed, complications will arise, and the Left will have a political cudgel with which to attack anti-abortion legislation.

ProPublica did just that in late 2024, when it blamed Georgia's anti-abortion laws for the death of Amber Nicole Thurman. Let's be clear: while Georgia outlawed abortion, Thurman — who was pregnant with twins and the mother of a six-year-old child — traveled out of state in 2022 to obtain a chemical abortion. Thanks to the Biden administration removing pretty much any and all guardrails surrounding the abortion pill, Thurman was given the drugs and sent back to Georgia with no supervision or follow-up. She ended up being one of the 11 percent of women who experience severe complications from the abortion drug, became septic, and died. Democrats, including Kamala Harris, used Thurman's story to push for a restoration of Roe.
And for their reporting, ProPublica was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2025.
Now, ProPublica is back with more lies about abortion laws, once again repeating the lie that women are denied care during miscarriages.

This is not because of anti-abortion laws, but of media misinformation. And, deep down, I have to wonder how many doctors are intentionally engaging in what can only be called 'malicious compliance' in order to advance an abortion agenda.
As a pro-life OB practicing in a pro-life state, let me be clear: refusing to intervene when a woman experiences an inevitable miscarriage, as described in this article, is medical malpractice.

No anti-abortion law prohibits the treatment of a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. None. That the anti-abortion laws are the focus of reporting and not the doctors, who seem incompetent at best and negligent at worst, tells me all I need to know.
The media are wholly uninterested in digging into the doctors who are refusing to provide care to women experiencing miscarriages because they want women to be harmed by this. To them, the situation is a political win: like Thurman, they can stand on the graves of such women and demand unrestricted abortion on demand, funded by taxpayers and forced down the throats of every American.
Much in the way they'll sacrifice people to criminals and illegal aliens, the Left will sacrifice women in order to get what they want, and they'll lie to our faces about it.
