The Leftist capture of our institutions, and the Right's grave mistake in not fighting harder to control education and the culture, is going to lead to a major — and ugly — political and ideological battle down the road. The Left knows this and, like chess players, are laying out the pieces.

By creating generations of indoctrinated students, they're more likely to have willing foot soldiers who will carry out their political and ideological will. One of the things the Democrats have promised to do is to expand and pack the U.S. Supreme Court, and Hakeem Jeffries has vowed 'judicial reform' at the federal and state levels.

What that means is they'll load the courts with their ideologues so Democrats can enact their will on the American people, the Constitution be damned.

This means the First and Second Amendments will be gutting, the Electoral College trashed, and an end to the republic as we know it. And they're laying the seeds in law schools across the state, teaching future attorneys and judges that America is a systemically racist nation and they must 'dismantle systems that racialize, subordinate, and oppress.'

We already see that playing out in the court systems. In New York City, prosecutor Dafna Yoran gave a reduced sentence to a Black man who murdered an Asian college professor. Yoran said she did so under the concept of 'restorative justice,' and gave the suspect ten years for manslaughter when he was originally charged with murder. Yafna was the same prosecutor who tried to throw Daniel Penny behind bars for protecting subway riders from another mentally ill career criminal.

It was the Manhattan court system that created dozens of specious, laughable felony charges against President Trump in an effort to get him labeled a convicted felon ahead of the 2024 election. The Biden administration worked to undermine democracy by trying to jail a former President and to remove him from the ballot.

Fairfax County's Steve Descano has a long history of giving lighter sentences to criminal illegal aliens, as I outlined here. There was no crime severe enough for Descano; he routinely downgraded charges or dismissed them outright, as he did with Abdul Jalloh. Descano's office was warned by law enforcement that Jalloh was dangerous and would hurt someone. Three months later, he stabbed Stephanie Minter to death at a Fairfax bus stop. She was 41 years old.

In Cambridge, Massachusetts, Judge Janet Sanders gave career criminal Tyler Brown a light sentence in 2020, after Brown opened fire on two Boston police officers, attempting to murder them. Sanders even admitted she was 'taking a risk' on giving Brown a lighter sentence. Last week, Brown opened fire on a Massachusetts highway, critically wounding two.

And last October, Nicholas Roske, who was convicted of trying to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, was given just eight years behind bars because of his newfound trans identity. The judge in that case, Biden-appointee Deborah Boardman, cited the Trump administration's policy of housing prisoners based on their real gender and not their 'trans identity.' Boardman admitted so in court.

This is what it means to 'dismantle systems that racialize, subordinate, and oppress.' Criminals who have a certain skin color or check other ideological boxes will get lighter sentences. Meanwhile, a Democrat-run DOJ will fantasize about putting habit-wearing nuns in prison and weaponize government to throw pro-lifers and Christians behind bars.

Every person who values the Constitution and our basic human rights should be alarmed by this. Law schools are turning out the next generation of legal minds to believe that it's their job not to uphold the law, but to circumvent the law in pursuit of woke ideology and the Democrats' political agenda.

That ends badly for tens of millions of Americans.
