The Democrats' Abortion Lies Have Caused Widespread Damage

Democrats have done a fantastic job of brainwashing women into believing that we not only have a right to an abortion, but that our freedoms and lives hinge on whether or not we can kill our unborn children. It's the product of a diseased, selfish, and hedonistic culture.

That means that the Democrats have abused a quarter of all women into not only harming their children but their bodies and futures, by feeding them lies.

No, they're not monsters. But the Democrats and Leftists who push these lies are. And they know it. There's a reason why the Biden administration weaponized the FACE Act against pro-life Americans. They live in fear of women hearing the truth, and realizing that their unborn children are, in fact, human beings worthy of life.

They do not want women to have alternative, informed choices to abortion. That's why New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin went after the First Choice Women's Resource Centers. Platkin issued sweeping subpoenas against the organization, demanding communications, donor lists, employee info. It was meant to be a fishing expedition to intimidate employees, volunteers, and — most critically — the donors who keep the organization alive. The purpose was to make this information public so radical Leftists can harass, bully, and stop them from donating.

There's a word for people who use such tactics against their political opponents. We call it tyranny.

If Democrats had a choice, there isn't a doubt in my mind that they would mandate every woman get an abortion, a la China's one-child policy. In Colorado, they came close just a few years ago, when the Assembly Speaker, Julie McCluskie, said it was cheaper to pay for abortions than live births.

Part of that is because the Left will lie through its teeth to advance the abortion agenda. Like this.

That's a dog, by the way. It's a cute little "gotcha" game that the Left likes to play, as one pending Community Note proves. It reads, "It's clearly a sarcastic comment, since many anti-abortion people confuse the fetuses of other animals with human fetuses. Also, because most of them don't know basic biology."

Actually, we do. A human embryo is a human from the moment of conception. Same with a fetus, the next stage of development. The Left will insist that's just a "clump of cells" (while they would go out of their way to protect the embryos and fetuses of animals). But a person's developmental stage, much like the circumstances of their conception, does not negate that person's humanity.

"Well, a baby can't take care of itself, so it's not really a human being!" We have hospitals and nursing homes full of people who, whether acutely or chronically, cannot take care of themselves. Does that mean they're not human? The Left would probably argue yes, of course, because the fetid ideology they use to justify abortions does not stay confined to unborn children. Just take a look at Canada's MAiD program.

Now we've got almost 25 percent of women having at least one abortion in their lifetimes, and Democrats think that's a good thing. But to address Therander's question, no, I don't think those women are monsters.

Democrats like Therander, on the other hand, are.
