In 2017, Oregon women Kali Wilgus and Liz Connelly opened Kook's Burritos, a food stand in Portland, Oregon. The women opened the business after a trip to Puerto Nuevo, Mexico, where they learned to make flour tortillas from scratch from local women.
But, even a decade ago, the woke mobs were out in force, and they attacked the women for "cultural appropriation," accusing them of stealing the tortilla recipes from Mexican women. The backlash was so widespread and severe that the stand closed within days.
Similarly, Alexander Kazanowski opened an antique shop in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood in 2023. Online mobs found Kazanowski's social media posts critical of transgender ideology, as well as comments about gender roles in sports, and — just like the burrito stand — the mobs forced the business to close eventually. Sadly, Kazanowski was beaten to death in Chicago last week in an unrelated attack.
Two years ago, Alexander "Xander" Kazanowski opened a small antique shop in Chicago.

Trans activists doxxed him and protested his business over his "wrongthink" social media posts. The store eventually closed.

There are others, of course, including the Left's harassment and lawsuits of Christian bakers like Colorado's Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakes, but far too many to list here. But what these incidents show is that the Left started out with bullying, doxing, lawsuits, and harassment of businesses they don't like.
And that has escalated into full-scale violence, encouraged by the Left.

On December 4, 2024, UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was gunned down on a New York street. Luigi Mangione was later arrested and charged with his murder, and in his manifesto, Mangione allegedly wrote in a manifesto that "these parasites had it coming." The Left embraced Mangione, with Democrats like AOC, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders justifying his actions because insurance companies reject claims and coverage.
Leftists turned Mangione into a hero, and there was even a musical written about him.
That translates into more violence against businesses and CEOs whom the Left doesn't like. In Ontario, California, a 29-year-old man burned down a paper goods warehouse because he hated capitalism and was ... inspired by Mangione.

Chamel Abdulkarim, of Highland, California, was charged by federal authorities with arson of a building used in interstate and foreign commerce, Bill Essayli, the first assistant United States attorney, said at a news conference Friday morning.
Abdulkarim is accused of intentionally starting multiple fires at a 1.2 million-square-foot warehouse on Tuesday. The warehouse was located in Ontario, about 40 miles east of Los Angeles, and was owned by the consumer goods company Kimberly-Clark Corp.
Authorities have said Abdulkarim was an employee of NFI Industries, a third-party distribution company for Kimberly-Clark products.
Essayli said the charge carries a five year mandatory minimum federal prison sentence and is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Abdulkarim pleaded not guilty, despite recording himself setting the blaze.
Also in California (which is a total coincidence, I'm sure), OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman's house was targeted by a Molotov cocktail attack. The suspect, 20-year-old Daniel Moreno-Gama, was reportedly carrying an "Anti-AI" document that listed AI CEOs.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Moreno-Gama wrote the document and it contained a section titled "Your Last Warning."
“If I am going to advocate for others to kill and commit crimes, then I must lead by example and show that I am fully sincere in my message,” the criminal complaint said. There was also a letter-styled document addressed to Altman in which Moreno-Gama reportedly wrote, “If by some miracle you live, then I would take this as a sign from the divine to redeem yourself."
This is exactly what the Left wants to happen. They started out protesting, doxing, and bullying businesses they didn't like. Then they escalated to lawsuits. That was followed by arson, firebombings, and homicide. They want the chaos. With few exceptions, the Left despises business and capitalism, and the freedom that both represent. But because they can't get away with passing laws shuttering these businesses, they turn to bullying, intimidation, and violence to force people to align with their worldview.
As I reported earlier, the Biden DOJ weaponized the FACE Act against pro-life and religious Americans, and these two things are inextricably linked. They believe violence leads to compliance, and that's what they want: blind compliance to their agenda.
This isn't random, and it isn't organic. It's the product of Leftist ideology that excuses intimidation if the victims are of the Right political ideology.
That's why it's imperative that the next Attorney General, be it Todd Blanche, who is currently the Acting AG, or someone else, crack down on this Leftist behavior, and hard.
