There is no logical reason to oppose the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. Federal elections should be limited to those who are American citizens, and those who vote should have to prove their citizenship to cast a ballot when voting for the people who will run this country.

Anything else leaves the system ripe for fraud.

But I guess that's what Democrats want, because they're doing everything in their power to block the SAVE Act from becoming the law of the land. Of course, they can't admit that they want to facilitate fraud. That's electoral suicide. So instead, they come up with interesting — and idiotic — arguments about why the SAVE Act is a bad idea.

Their favorite target seems to be women, whom Democrats believe have neither the agency nor the ability to update their documents so they can vote. But to say that the SAVE Act would violate the 19th Amendment is a new one, even for Democrats. It smacks of Jamie Raskin throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks.

"What's wrong with the SAVE Act? What's wrong with it is it might violate the 19th Amendment which gives women the right to vote, because you've got to show that all of your different IDs match," Raskin said.

He brings up the tired argument about a married woman changing her name and the documents not matching, a claim that has long been debunked.

"So if you're a woman who's gotten married and you've changed your name to your husband's name but your...your current name is different from your name at birth, now you've got to go ahead and document that," Raskin said.

A marriage license will document that, of course. You bring your birth certificate and your marriage license, and you'll be able to vote.

I'll notice that the Democrats have conveniently remembered what a woman is, just so they can use us as a cudgel against much-needed election reforms. Tomorrow, we'll go back to being the "partner with eggs."

Raskin thinks women are too stupid to do that. Speaking frankly, as a woman, I've seen how many of my fellow women vote. If they can't figure out how to update their documents, or don't want to, I don't want them voting. They're the reason guys like Raskin spout this nonsense on CNN.

But more than that, I want women to realize just how little regard Democrats have for you. They think you're stupid, they think you should take a back seat to mentally ill men, and they believe your value is tied only to your ability to abort your unborn children. They do nothing to keep you safe; they welcome illegal aliens to your cities and turn a blind eye when they rob, assault, and murder you and your daughters. The only time they identify you as a woman is when they're lying and pandering to you for your votes.

Meanwhile, a majority of Democratic voters, many of whom are women, support Voter ID.

Raskin knows the SAFE Act won't disenfranchise women and that it doesn't violate the 19th Amendment. He's just hoping women are gullible enough to believe his lies.
