For a long time, many of us warned that the entire "trans kids" movement was a social contagion, fueled by TikTok, virtue-signaling parents, endorsed by celebrities, and celebrated by the media. I have also said that the "gender affirming care" given to minors — most of them gay or lesbian, and many of them either autistic or from abusive homes — was a radical form of conversion therapy.
Remember when the Left opposed conversion therapy? They told us it was cruel and unusual to try to make gay and lesbian kids change their orientation through therapy. Instead, the Left decided that the effeminate gay boy or the butch lesbian girl couldn't simply be effeminate or butch.
Oh no, they created an entire pseudo-science, arguing that these gender non-conforming individuals were simply "born in the wrong body" or "had a girl/boy brain" in their boy/girl body, while saying the only solution was to pump these kids full of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and to mutilate and sterilize their bodies to "affirm" their new gender identity.
It turns out that trend appears to be dying off.

And now this: Various studies and statistics suggest that trans identity is a trend. Or could have been, at least in part. The entire gender debate, so ideologically driven, seems to be losing its power and appeal.
British-Canadian political scientist Eric Kaufmann analyzed surveys of students who identify as neither male nor female. While the survey focused on nonbinary identities, he sees this as reflecting trends among transgender people as well. In 2023, 8 percent of students at one of the American schools studied identified as nonbinary, but this number dropped to 2 percent by 2025. Elsewhere, the figure fell by half.
The numbers are “in free fall among young people,” Kaufmann wrote on X when he presented his report titled “The Decline of Trans and Queer Identity Among Young Americans.”
If this is, in fact, a trend, as many of us said, the fallout will be disastrous. And not a single person who is responsible for that coming fallout will face any consequences for their actions.

Forgive me for being blunt here, but that bluntness is warranted because we have to know what we're going to reckon with in the coming years, as these "trans kids" grow up and are unable to function sexually, unable to have children, and face a slew of health issues because of the "gender affirming treatment" they were given. Boys given puberty blockers will never develop mature penises, and they will never be able to father children or achieve orgasm. If they have surgery, their neo-vagina (often constructed from parts of a colon) will always need dilation, will often smell, and will be painful. Women who "become" men. will have scarring on their forearm where doctors remove skin to construct a penis, which may or may not develop sensation as it heals from surgery. They will never be able to get pregnant and will never be able to breastfeed. They are at risk of mental health issues from the cross-sex hormones, cancer, and diseases like osteoporosis.
Despite this, not only were those children given these powerful drugs and told it was safe, they – and their parents — were often told it was the only thing standing between those kids and suicide.
Back in November, I wrote about Jonni Skinner, one of those effeminate gay boys, who was told he had a "girl brain." His mom was told that failing to transition Jonni to a girl would result in her losing custody, if not Jonni's suicide. When Jonni started having horrible side effects from the medications he was on, his doctors dismissed it as just being part of a girl. "Every doctor I went to was just telling me that everything was okay. If I went to a doctor for breast pain and fluid leakage, they'd be like, 'Welcome to womanhood,' and I just wasn't getting any answers," Skinner said. When he confronted his doctor about it, the doctor blamed Skinner, who was a child, hung up on him, and never spoke to Skinner again.
In that same article, I wrote about Prisha Mosley, who was raped at 14. She got pregnant because of that rape and later miscarried. That led Mosley to hate her body. Instead of treating her trauma, she was pushed to transition. She's since said the transition "sexually, mentally, and physically abused" her and made her suicidal ideation worse. "I want to save children from experiencing this pain as they chase a temporary euphoria promised by doctors selling snake oil. If you medically transition, you will be on the medical leash for life."
In May of 2024, a study showed the risk of suicide actually increased twelve-fold after "gender-affirming care." This includes Yarden Silveira, who was a post-operation kid who committed suicide in 2021. Here's some of what Yarden wrote about his life post-operation:
I have a gaping hole in my genital area with my colon spilling out (disgusting) and a ring of scar tissue blocking most of the entrance. If the colon can't discharge, that leaves it with a severe blockage, which then could turn (and likely be expected) into blood clots, followed by death. I've already reached the stage of blockage."
What hurts me the most is the loneliness and the inability to find a partner. I can't have a normal sex life. I'm a loser and I probably deserve to live with this deception. This is what I get for messing with nature.
Here, I think about my governor, Democrat Tony Evers, who joined a multi-state lawsuit when the Trump administration banned such "gender-affirming care" for minors. In a statement, Evers said, "Republicans are consistently trying to insert partisan politics and their political beliefs into personal medical decisions, and that’s a problem. Doctors and hospitals should be able to provide medically accurate care for their patients without fear of political retribution or criminal prosecution, and parents should be able to get their kids medical care when they need it. This is basic stuff."
Protecting kids from the harm that befell Jonni Skinner, Prisha Mosley, and Yarden Silveira is not "partisan politics." It's the moral and ethical thing to do. We don't let kids vote until they're 18. They cannot drink or smoke legally until they're 21. Studies show our brains don't fully mature until we're 25 years old. Yet the Democrats have said kids can know their gender from as early as the womb (kinda destroys their "clump of cells" pro-abortion argument, but I digress), and they push to harm them in the name of "gender-affirming care."
It's sick, and it's evil. And now it appears it was all for a social trend akin to fidget spinners and Pokémon Go. Guys like Tony Evers won't face any consequences for supporting this. In fact, Democrats turn around and blame Republicans when the trans fallout wave finally crashes on our shores.
And that wave is coming. We'd best be prepared for it.
