A few days ago, Democrats released a video that is, in a word, seditious. Elise Slotkin, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, Pennsylvania Representatives Chris Deluzio, Chrissy Houlahan, New Hampshire Representative Maggie Goodlander, and Colorado Representative Jason Crow joined her.
In that video, the Democrats called on members of the military and intelligence communities to refuse orders and resist the Trump administration.
"Americans trust their military,” Houlahan said. “But that trust is at risk,” Deluzio added. “This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens,” Kelly, Crow, and Slotkin said. Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders. You can refuse illegal orders. You must refuse illegal orders," Kelly, Slotkin, and Deluzio continued.
What are these illegal orders?
Don't know.

Who are these American citizens against whom the "administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals"?
We don't know that, either.
But who needs evidence when you've got a good narrative to play out?
Somehow, I doubt these Democrats are talking about the parents, Catholics, veterans, and conservatives who were targeted by the Biden administration, which called them "domestic terrorists." So, too, do I doubt they're speaking of the Republican lawmakers and influencers who were caught up in Arctic Frost.
That, of course, is (D)ifferent.
In response to this seditious behavior, President Trump posted a series of thoughts on Truth Social.
"This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP??? President DJT," he wrote.
But the President wasn't finished there.
He followed it up by pointing out that seditious behavior is punishable by death.
"Seditious behavior, punishable by death!" the President wrote.
Of course, much like their faux outrage over President Trump's remarks about Liz Cheney going to war, the Left pounced on this post as proof President Trump was calling for the political assassination of Democrats.
Of course, he's not.
But here's the truth of it. If seditious behavior rises to treason, and those Democrats sure sounded like they were calling on members of the military and intelligence community to engage in treasonous acts, that is punishable by death. In other words, the Democrats in that video are fine with your average GI Joe or CIA paper-pusher facing harsh penalties for "standing up" to President Trump.
In the military in particular, if service members actually take up arms against the United States or aid a foreign enemy, they can face treason or wartime mutiny charges, which can carry the death penalty under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
The Democrats themselves will face no consequences for it, because sedition is rarely prosecuted but those they called on to "defend our Constitution" would not be so lucky. And I have to wonder if Democrats truly thought of the consequences of their call to arms, because it goes far beyond a few Truth Social posts from President Trump.
But I guess they didn't, because they don't seem to care who gets hurt so long as they can say they "resisted" Trump.
