Just yesterday, I told you how Zohran Mamdani declared New York a "city of international law."
On the surface, it seemed as though this was simply the misguided move of a power-hungry socialist, one who hopes he'll magically have the authority to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for "war crimes" should Netanyahu set foot in the Big Apple.
This is one of the most insane things I've ever heard a politician say.

Zohran Mamdani declares that New York is a "city of international law."
Last time I checked, I was pretty sure New York is an American city under U.S. law.pic.twitter.com/yurkMdFImd
Of course, New York City is subject to U.S. law and New York state law. The International Criminal Court (ICC) and other global governing bodies have no authority here; America is a sovereign nation that can govern free from foreign interference.
But this morning I had a lightbulb moment. There is nothing about Mamdani's campaign that isn't carefully controlled by groups like CAIR and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). That realization led me to a horrible, but accurate conclusion: much like Mamdani's campaign was the springboard for launching DSA candidates across the nation, his declaration that New York is a "city of international law" is the proverbial camel's nose under the tent to making all of America subject to international law.
In fact, it's part of the DSA's platform.

The DSA has a "working-class foreign policy" platform and part of that is "respect of the authority of the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice." That means the DSA wants international laws — which are antithetical to Americans' rights and freedoms — to have weight over our country. If America doesn't willingly submit to foreign authorities, the DSA wants those same global governing bodies to punish and restrain America.
Last month, I told you Barack Obama is pushing for a global movement to restrict free speech. In June, Obama floated the idea of "government regulatory constraints" on media and journalism. There's one obstacle in the way of that agenda, however: the First Amendment.
But what if international law reigned supreme in the U.S.? We can kiss the First Amendment — nay, the entire Constitution — goodbye. Not only would we lose the right to free speech, free expression of religion, and free press, but every other right would be wiped away at the whim of some bureaucrat in Brussels.
This includes our Second Amendment rights, too. Leftists like Mamdani would love nothing more than to watch the U.N. go door-to-door trying to round up our guns.
More than that, remember this: back in July, the Trump administration rejected a WHO proposal that would have forced the U.S. to obey "legally binding" pandemic health rules. If you thought the draconian policies of Democrats were bad during COVID, imagine having the U.N. force us into permanent lockdowns, concentration camps, and mandatory vaccines.
It's absolutely true that Mamdani has no legal authority to arrest Netanyahu, so that issue isn't really the issue. The issue instead is that Mamdani is furthering the groundwork for a socialist takeover of America, one that would end our nation as we know it.
