First, let’s get this out of the way: former Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) was right 25 years ago. She decided to give a speech bashing the Taliban on the House floor. By extension, she was treating it as radical Islam, the terrorists. If she did this today, it would have triggered a meltdown. Second, she’d likely get a primary challenge and lose. It shows how radical the Democratic base has become. Still, we’ll tip our hat to the former congresswoman, because she was spot-on with this move.
Maloney decided to deliver this address wearing a full burqa, showing how women are viewed and treated in these Muslim hell holes:

Yet these are the people the Democrats and their supporters think are part of their coalition. They would import hundreds of thousands of them for reasons that make no sense. Muslims aren’t keen on women’s rights, and they toss gay people off rooftops. White, single, college-educated women, aka the ones who scream into their phones all alone in the parking lot, are the only thing keeping the Democrats from total irrelevance, and Muslims would wreck them. Sorry, they cannot fit into the coalition, and suicidal empathy brought on by liberal white women will kill us all.
Maybe it’s because both sides share a hatred of America, or because they know that radical Islam gets conservatives animated. But the latter part isn’t even a good troll, if it is that, because common-sense liberals know what’s up. He’s a comedian, but Bill Maher has railed against radical Islam and its awful ideas for years. It’s a religion that is against the principles of Western values, the liberal values the Democrats and his side of the aisle say they’re proud to be proponents of.
Maloney would be branded Islamophobic if she did this today. Back then, she was speaking the truth.
