Well, I’m sure many Democrats who aren’t over the 2016 election don’t care that this former presidential candidate is now on the run from the law, so to speak. They blame her for costing Hillary Clinton the 2016 election, and we’re not talking about Donald Trump. It’s Jill Stein. Stein has been pilloried in some Democratic corners, just as Ralph Nader was scorched for his third-party run in 2000, which siphoned off enough votes to prevent another era of Clinton presidential politics, but too bad. That didn’t happen. Back to the present, Stein is in trouble with the law and an arrest warrant has been issued.
Apparently, Ms. Stein is wanted on assault charges. You’d think shoplifting or unpaid parking tickets, but it’s something a tad more interesting. She’s facing first-degree trespassing and fourth-degree assault charges (via AZ Family):

The charges stem from a Washington University campus protest on April 27, 2024.
Documents state that on April 27, 2024, a protest began in Forest Park. At around 3:47 p.m., the protest moved onto the Washington University Danforth campus. Court documents state the protestors were chanting phrases associated with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Court documents state that the Olin Library was evacuated after protestors entered and set up tents.
The afternoon events transpired with protestors chanting chants that said, “Shame, shame, shame,” and explicit language used against Washington University Dean Rob Wild.
Protesters were given a last warning by officers at 7:41 p.m., stating they’d be arrested for trespassing. Court documents state the protestors locked arms and said, “Hold the line,” as officers approached them.
Documents state that Officer Conroy approached on a bicycle, which Stein grabbed, leading to Officer Moore attempting to help. The bicycle hit Moore in the forearm, and while the bicycle was raised, Stein allegedly kicked Moore multiple times in the right leg near the groin. Moore was later diagnosed with a strain in his left forearm, a contusion in the back of his right leg and a groin injury.
Oh, of course, it was over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Oh well, Stein will likely get a couple of days in jail for not turning herself in, maybe, plus 500 hours of community service. You know the deal, though I’m sure some Democrats hope she gets a couple of years behind bars, guilty of torpedoing Hillary’s chances, allegedly.
