College football is back in full swing and there have already been some amazing moments. I think that it’ll be hard to top my favorite from this weekend: Colorado players badmouthing Northwestern’s temporary stadium, only to get blown out hours later.

The win is apparently Northwestern’s largest against a power conference opponent since 2020. You have to remember that Rutgers is in their conference, and that they’ve played them twice since 2020. Utterly embarrassing for the Buffaloes.

Colorado evidently didn’t believe that their loss was that humiliating. Coach Deion Sanders complained that he found multiple of his players laughing and joking following the blowout while walking off the field.

If you ask me, this is just more evidence of Colorado being the most overhyped program in college football history.

When Deion came into Boulder, we were told that they would be competing for national championships due to his all-star recruiting power. They went 1-8 in conference play his first season. They bounced back in 2024, only to have their worst season under his leadership in 2025. Now, they’re getting blown out by middling Big 10 competition in a stadium that seats 12,000.

Can we finally hang up the Deion Sanders experiment?
