It turns out that woke definitely is not dead, and the progenitors of the newest strain aren’t who you’d expect: the golf industry.

The social media influencer golf brand Good Good recently released an advertisement promoting a new club that featured a woman being shoved to the ground by the brand’s frontman with a warning. Users on social media quickly accused the brand of promoting domestic violence.

As a result of the ad, Good Good lost sponsorships, a TV show, and a PGA tournament hosted in Austin, Texas.

It’s hard to believe that this could be the reaction to a rather innocuous ad at best, or in poor-taste at worst. Personally, I didn’t find the ad funny or entertaining, but I also didn’t see it as something to even register as offensive. Claiming that the ad in any way glorified or promoted domestic violence can only be considered a bald-faced lie by people looking at the matter with any sort of objectivity.

It’s 2026. Trump won. We don’t have to pretend to be offended over an ad that a major company and a major social media brand both considered to be passable until the wokescolds on social media decided to run their latest cancel culture operation.

Why are we trying to sprint back to a time when lives were ruined over the lamest things posted on social media?
