It must be nice to be a Democrat. Not only can you do and say whatever you want, firmly rooted in your belief that you are morally and intellectually superior to the rest of the country (including your own voters), but you can enact policies and laws and make sure you and your loved ones are largely insulated from them.

That's why, for example, Democrats are able to scream about Republicans like President Trump being "Hitler" and "Nazis" while they prop up New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his wife, Rama Duwaji, who hasn't met a Jew she didn't want to get rid of. Or Abdul El-Sayed, who is just itching for a spot on the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, where I'm sure he totally won't try to undermine America and Israel.

Meanwhile, normie Americans like me have to live with the very real consequences of the Democrats' policies. Like Obamacare, for example. Members of Congress are conveniently exempt from the rules of the Affordable Care Act, so they get to keep their Cadillac, taxpayer-funded insurance policies while a friend's mother lost her insurance, her doctor, and ultimately her life to cancer.

Or the Democrats pro-criminal policies. Democrats couch these laws in "equity" and "criminal justice reform," but what it really means is your toddler can be stabbed in her face as she sits in her stroller by a repeat felon while you wait for her siblings to get off the school bus. Or you can watch your 23-year-old daughter who fled war-torn Ukraine get knifed in the neck by a career criminal who lets her bleed out on Charlotte's light rail system.

Or you can be one of the women victimized by Virginia's Ocean View Rapist or Anthony Favors, who was serving a 60-year prison sentence for raping a woman in 1992 when he was convicted last year of another rape that same year. Both of those rapists are set for release under Gov. Abigail Spanberger's woke parole board.

One of Favor's victims, who waited decades for justice, asked if Spanberger would want to live next to the violent criminals she's releasing.

"I'm sure she wouldn't, but she doesn't have to," the woman, named Amanda, said. "It's the normal, common people that are going to have to deal with this. I am petrified that he's going to be released."

The governor's office, unsurprisingly, did not respond to reporter Nick Minock's request for comment. And it won't.

Because the same people who accuse President Trump of wanting to be a "king" sure act like royalty. Amanda is right: Spanberger doesn't have to live with these actions. She's our ruler, after all. Only the little people have to live with rapists, murderers, illegal aliens, and homeless defecating in our streets. The Democrat ruling class can't be expected to debase themselves in that way.

They do this to create chaos in our communities to help them gain and continue to hold on to power. If Spanberger knew Anthony Favors was going to move in next door, she might think twice about releasing him from prison when he's got decades left on his sentence.

But the scarier thought is this: given how demented the Democrats are, including Nikole Hannah-Jones admitted she disenfranchised her own daughter for the sake of her political agenda. Would Democrats even care if they or their loved ones were victimized by the criminals they love? There's a chance they wouldn't, and that's terrifying.
